DesMarais Farm

DesMarais Farm – Brandon, Vermont’s Newest Wedding Venue

It’s been a cold and dreary day here in Vermont (sadly sans snow). So let’s flash back to last July when we spent the afternoon exploring DesMarais Farm which is just down the road from our studio in Brandon, Vermont. They opened as a Vermont wedding venue in 2021 and are definitely worth touring if you’re looking for stunning vistas and New England charm. The gardens are ideal for first looks and intimate portraits of our couples. The sweeping landscapes provide the perfect backdrop for everything else.

One of the things I love most about what Lyn and Jim DesMarais have done with the property, is that they are actively managing it as an organic farm and wildlife sanctuary. And if all that’s not enough to entice you to check out this enchanting wedding venue, they “sweeten” the deal by keeping bees! In turn, creating the perfect memento for your wedding guests.

Some guidance on choosing a wedding venue in Vermont

There are a few things you may want to consider:

  • Location: Think about where you want to hold your wedding. Do you want a rural setting, a mountain view, or a more urban location? Vermont offers a wide range of wedding venues, from farms and inns to wineries and resorts, so you’ll have plenty of options to choose from.
  • Size: Consider the size of your guest list when choosing a venue. Make sure the venue can accommodate all of your guests comfortably.
  • Amenities: Look for a venue that offers the amenities you need for your wedding, such as catering, tables and chairs, and a dance floor.
  • Cost: Wedding venues can vary significantly in cost, so it’s important to consider your budget when choosing a venue. Be sure to get a detailed list of the costs associated with the venue, including any fees for setup, cleanup, and other services.
  • Availability: Make sure the venue is available on your desired wedding date. You may also want to consider booking a venue well in advance to ensure that it is available.
  • Flexibility: Consider a venue that is flexible and willing to work with you to create the wedding of your dreams.

I hope these tips are helpful as you search for the perfect wedding venue in Vermont!
