We do love a jewel toned event, and Amelia + Kyle’s autumn wedding at the Taconic Hotel delivered!
This wasn’t your average Vermont wedding. Sure, the backdrop was classic New England – the Taconic Hotel in Manchester with all its autumnal charm. But Amelia and Kyle weaved a day that was as unique and fun-loving as they are.
A Jewel-Toned Fairytale
The theme? Romantic elegance with a splash of whimsy. Amelia, a vision in a Jenny Yoo gown, borrowed a touch of family history with pearl earrings and a bracelet, and rocked a long veil with delicate pearl detailing. Kyle, ever thoughtful, wore his late father’s watch, a reminder cherished throughout the day.
The stationery suite was a work of art, featuring a custom-designed covered bridge logo (a nod to Vermont!) and a foliage liner that brought the fall vibes straight to the mailbox. And let’s not forget Amelia’s shoes – a pair of Pokemaoke Alta Flats that perfectly complemented the jewel-toned florals by Anna’s Blooms.
Unique Touches That Stole the Show
But here’s where things got really special. Amelia and her dad shared a secret weapon, custom-made Converse sneakers decorated with Phish lyrics, a tribute to their favorite band and the song they’d be dancing to later that night. Speaking of dancing, the reception featured a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart – need I say more? It was pure Vermont bliss!
A Love Story Made with Sweet Treats
The love story itself was as heartwarming as a scoop of Cherry Garcia. Amelia and Kyle’s proposal happened at their favorite ice cream spot, sitting on a park bench with their dog, Sadie, by their side. It was a simple moment, perfectly capturing their down-to-earth personalities.

When I asked Amelia to describe Kyle, she beamed and said, “Thoughtful, Cheerful, Warm.” Kyle returned the favor, calling Amelia “Passionate, Humorous, Adventurous.” These three words painted a beautiful picture of their love – a perfect blend of laughter, support, and a shared zest for life.

The day unfolded exactly as Amelia had envisioned – emotional vows exchanged under a canopy of fall foliage, the joy of seeing their dream space come alive, and of course, that epic father/daughter dance wit the custom Converse.
As the night wound down, guests left with sweet treats from the candy store where Amelia worked in high school – a final touch that spoke volumes about the couple’s thoughtfulness and desire to share their story with everyone who came to celebrate.
