Christopher + Julian an Autumn Grafton, Vermont Wedding

We are way behind on blogging, but it seems appropriate to finally share Christopher and Julian’s gorgeous Grafton, Vermont wedding from last autumn as June is Pride Month. The foliage was peaking, the weather was perfect, and we were graced with a beautiful full moon as the party moved into the evening hours with a bonfire. Julian and Chris had asked us to capture their wedding more “fly on the wall” than formal for the day. This is what many photographers will call journalistic or documentary style photography, and seeing as that is where I started my career (on newspapers), we were thrilled to shoot this way. The vibe was laid back and celebratory without being over the top. Chris’ brothers officiated, as one led them through their vows, and the other explained the significance of planting a Jefferson Elm during their tree dedication. Resulting in photos and video which are a beautiful and authentic record of their special day. On top of all this, we added some Super 8mm to their film, so be sure to check out their wedding film at the end of this post.
