We are based in Brandon, Vermont, and one of my favorite venues in the whole state is almost literally, in our backyard – the Lilac Inn. One of the things they do particularly well is a micro wedding. The setting is intimate, beautiful and bright, even on a slushy winter day.
Many of you know that we are Sixpence Studios because I (Joanna) am married to a Brit, and I lived in England and Wales for a decade. Additionally, Rhiannon was born in the UK, so we wanted to give a nod to our British connections with our company name.
I was particularly drawn to Tony and Kalie’s story when Tony first reached out to see if we could shoot their wedding day. Tony was in the same situation I was, all those years ago when Rob and I said “I will” in Wales. I was lucky enough to have my father by my side, but because of Covid (that gift that just keeps on giving) none of Tony’s family were able to travel to Brandon, Vermont from the UK as he an Kalie tied the knot. I know the happiness of the day, and the ache it simultaneously creates not to have all of your loved ones present, so I truly hope these images will bring joy to Tony, Kalie, and all their family and friends for years to come.
Congratulations Kalie + Tony!!!
