Summer Top Notch Resort Wedding: Lauren & Michael Tie the Knot! (and find lots of ways to cool off in the heat)
This past July, magic filled the air at Topnotch Resort in Stowe, Vermont, as Lauren and Michael celebrated their love with a summer wedding! Laughter, a few happy tears, and warm sunshine painted the day a perfect backdrop for their love story to unfold. The ceremony green at Topnotch was adorned with vibrant summer blooms, creating a picture-perfect setting for their vows.
A Dream Team of Vermont Vendors
From the moment we arrived, the positive energy was palpable. Liz Seward, our amazing coordinator, ensured everything ran smoothly, while Mother Nature provided a breathtaking backdrop. Officiant Anne Leeds delivered a heartwarming (and funny) ceremony filled with personal touches, and the floral arrangements by Jasmine Bigelow of A Clover and One Bee were nothing short of spectacular.
Special Touches & Big Fun
The vibe of this summertime Top Notch Resort wedding was a delightful blend of modern and romantic. Lauren’s stunning Stella York gown, from Blush Bridal Boutique in Kingston NY, was a vision of elegance, while Michael looked dapper in his MK Clothing suit from Burlington VT. The overall feel was semi-formal with a healthy dose of “fun,” just as Lauren and Michael envisioned!
Lauren’s sentimental side shone through with the bracelet she wore, a gift from her grandfather to her grandmother for their 40th anniversary. Tears of joy (happy ones, of course!) were shed during the ceremony, beautifully accompanied by the music of Ally and Jeremy Tarwater, friends and coworkers of the couple.
Cooling Off with Creativity – A summer Top Notch Resort wedding can be toasty
With the July sun beating down, Lauren and Michael found some creative ways to cool off throughout the day. We actually found them huddled together in the catering cooler in the kitchen at one point, seeking a moment of respite! Another time, we whisked them down to the riverbank for a chance to wade in the shallows. Both of these unexpected moments resulted in some of our favorite images from their big day – capturing their joy, love, and ability to have fun in any situation.
Laughter, Tears, and Family Fun
The evening was filled with laughter, heartwarming toasts, and a few happy tears. The speeches from Lauren and Michael’s siblings were both funny and thoughtful. Mike’s brother and sister produced a hysterical look back at their relationship, while Lauren’s sister and parents put together a comedy sketch which ended with Lauren’s entire family serenading them to a parody version of “American Pie.” It was a truly special moment that showcased the love and support of their family.
Overall, the reception was a blast! Clockwork East Coast kept the dance floor packed all night, while the pièce de résistance – homemade ice cream sandwiches created by Lauren and Michael themselves – was a crowd-pleasing (and delicious!) twist on the traditional wedding cake and perfect for a warm evening.
Dancing the Night Away
When we asked Lauren and Michael what they were most looking forward to on their wedding day, the answer was unanimous – dancing and spending time with loved ones. And let us tell you, they achieved both in spectacular fashion! The smiles on their faces, the joy in the room – it was pure wedding bliss.
Congratulations, Lauren & Michael!
Lauren and Michael, thank you for letting us capture the magic of your special day. May your love story continue to unfold with laughter, adventure, and perhaps a few more puzzle-solving challenges along the way. Cheers to the happy couple!
