A Bold Autumn Top Notch Resort Wedding: Sarina & Sean’s Stowe Celebration

Autumn Top Notch Resort Wedding

A Crisp & Vibrant Autumn Top Notch Resort Wedding

Stowe, Vermont often hits peak foliage during the first couple of weeks of October, and Sarina and Sean’s big day was the perfect version of it. No fluff, just crisp air, mountain views, and a guest list of 180 people who showed up to celebrate (seriously, check out the dance floor photos)! Their autumn Top Notch Resort wedding leaned into personal details and high-energy moments which actually felt like them.

Creekside Portraits and Mount Mansfield Views

We started the day on the Topnotch grounds, heading down to the creek for a first look. The water and the woods gave Sarina and Sean a quiet moment before the day accelerated. With Mount Mansfield as the backdrop, the formal black tie attire paired perfectly with the autumnal Stowe landscape, creating a look that was both sophisticated and classic.

Personal Touches and a Vermont “First Scoop”

The ceremony was officiated by Sean’s aunt, Julie Featherston, making their exchange of vows deeply personal. Throughout the day, Sarina’s own craft was on display; as a needlepoint artist (@Stitchandthecity_), she hand-stitched the ring pillow and the custom “Bride” and “Groom” signs that hung on their reception chairs.

Leaning into the local Stowe flavor, Sarina and Sean swapped the traditional cake for a Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Bar. The “First Scoop” was a crowd favorite and a perfect nod to the setting.

An Electric Top Notch Reception

The reception was defined by its incredible energy. While the decor was classic and romantic, the dance floor was anything but quiet. Premier Entertainment kept the room moving, but the moment that truly stole the show was Sean’s father, John Kilcullen, clearing the floor for a perfect, mid-air toe-touch. It was the ultimate dance floor moment and captured the fun, celebratory spirit of the entire weekend.
