A Dreamy Garden Wedding in Vermont: Lauren & Blake’s Sun-Drenched Celebration

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“10 out of 10 stars! Joanna went above and beyond throughout the entire process. She knew what to do to be prepared, took all the pictures we didn’t even think to ask for, and gave us over 1,000 photos of our memories which we will treasure for a lifetime.”
Lauren & Blake
While Lauren and Blake’s love story began under the Florida sun, their hearts were set on a lush, outdoor celebration in the Green Mountains. Their garden wedding in Vermont was a breathtaking blend of coastal sunshine and New England charm, proving that home truly is where the heart is.
From Florida Sunshine to Vermont Greenery
Lauren and Blake’s journey started in West Palm Beach, but it was a two-month pandemic detour to Lauren’s family home in Boca Grande that truly solidified their bond. After a romantic proposal back in West Palm, the couple decided to trade the palms for the maples, planning an intimate and intentional garden wedding in Vermont.
A Sentimental Setting: The Donnelly Family Home
The celebration took place at the Donnelly family home, a stunning former inn that offered a sense of history and warmth. To create a whimsical “English Summer Garden” vibe, Lauren and her mother, Kathy, spent months hunting for treasures at local auctions and estate sales.
The result? Reception tables adorned with a magnificent collection of mismatched floral English bone china—including Royal Doulton, Limoges, Rosenthal, Wedgwood, and Noritake. These delicate patterns and soft blush hues were perfectly complemented by vibrant, seasonal blooms from Blomma Flicka, making this one of the most unique examples of a garden wedding in Vermont we’ve ever seen.
Local Flavors and Farm-to-Table Favorites
Sustainability and local craftsmanship were woven into every detail of the day. Poze Catering brought the best of the state to the table with a spectacular farm-to-table feast. As a true Vermonter, Lauren’s personal highlight was the world-class cheese display from Jasper Hill Farm. To keep the party going, guests enjoyed world-renowned brews from Hill Farmstead while the Silver Arrow Band kept the dance floor packed late into the night.
Honoring Tradition and Family
The ceremony was a beautiful reflection of the couple’s shared life. Lauren’s brother, Liam Donnelly, officiated the wedding, which thoughtfully incorporated elements of Blake’s Jewish heritage. The couple shared a private, deeply personal moment signing their Ketubah with Blake’s family rabbi before heading to the gardens to exchange their vows.
Lauren and Blake’s garden wedding in Vermont was more than just a beautiful event; it was a testament to their journey—a seamless blend of Florida brightness and Vermont soul. It was a day filled with laughter, heartfelt tradition, and the promise of a beautiful forever.
Congratulations, Lauren and Blake! We are so honored to have captured your story.
