An elegant garden wedding in Vermont: Lauren & Blake’s Wedding Blooms with Love and Local Charm
A Love Story Forged in Sunshine
While the Vermont landscape provided the picturesque setting the wedding, Florida played a significant role in the couple’s journey. Lauren and Blake’s paths first crossed in sunny West Palm Beach, and a two month pandemic detour to Lauren’s family’s Boca Grande home solidified their connection. Fast forward to a proposal in West Palm, and the rest, as they say, is history!
A Garden Wedding in Vermont Steeped in Charm (pun intended)
The Donnelly family home, a former inn transformed into a charming haven, served as the stunning backdrop for the celebration. Sustainability was a key theme, with the reception tables adorned with a beautiful collection of mismatched floral English bone china (Royal Doulton, Limoges, Rosenthal, Wedgwood and Noritake were just a few of the brands) – a treasure hunt by Lauren and her mom, Kathy, at local auctions and estate sales. The china’s delicate patterns and soft blush hues created a whimsical “English Summer Garden” vibe, perfectly complemented by the vibrant blooms from Blomma Flicka.
A Celebration of Love, Laughter, and Local Flavor
Poze Catering brought the taste of Vermont to the event with a farm-to-table feast. Lauren, a true Vermonter at heart, confessed that the cheese boards from Jasper Hill Farm were her personal highlight (we can’t blame her!). The celebration continued well into the night, fueled by delicious brews from Hill Farmstead and lively tunes from the Silver Arrow Band.
A Touch of Tradition
Lauren’s brother, Liam Donnelly, officiated the ceremony, which beautifully incorporated elements of Blake’s Jewish heritage. Before the ceremony, the couple signed a Ketubah with Blake’s family rabbi, making for a deeply personal moment.
