Samantha & Mason’s Autumn Inn at Manchester Wedding
We had the genuine pleasure of photographing Samantha and Mason’s Inn at Manchester wedding in Manchester, Vermont in September 2023. As you’ll be able to tell from all the big smiles in the photos below, it was a day filled with joy, love, and a boat load of laughter (seriously, Sam in almost every photo of you, you have a HUGE grin on your face)!
A Joyful and Intimate Affair
From the moment we arrived, we were drawn to the joyful, elegant, and intimate atmosphere Sam and Mason had created. They are avid cooks, explorers, and passionate about spending time with their beloved dog, Winnie, and their wedding day perfectly reflected their personalities. It was warm, personal, and brimming with love for their family and friends.
Nancy Murray of A SchoolHouse Garden brought their wedding vision to life with stunning floral arrangements made up of forrest greens, crisp whites, and warm terracotta accents (we’re obsessed Nancy!). The ceremony was officiated by Samantha’s dear friend Becca Ebert and packed full with heartfelt moments. Before they walked down the aisle, Samantha and Mason privately exchanged letters after their first look which set the tone for their intimate vows. Mason honored his grandfather by sporting his cufflinks, while Winnie, their sweet fur baby, played the role of a charming (and very well behaved) “flower girl.”
Inn at Manchester Wedding Reception: Celebrating with Music, Food, and Friends
The reception, featured the lively sounds of Clockwork East Coast, who kept the dance floor packed. Guests got to sample the deliciousness of one of our personal favorites, Woodbelly Pizza, and then they indulged in a decadent cake from Charlie’s Coffee House.
In her google review, Samantha shared these extremely kind words about our work as Vermont wedding photographers, “Sixpence Studios was our wedding photographer in Vermont, and we were so happy with the entire experience. Joanna understood and executed on our asks (allowing us to focus on enjoying the moment and producing a low amount of posed photos). She also brought such a lovely and calming energy! I have a vivid memory of feeling a bit rushed before putting on my dress and Joanna assured us all calmly ‘we have plenty of time.’ Her daughter Rhiannon got so many amazing candids and background photos of the day as well. Some of our favorite photos were unplanned shots. They just saw and took advantage of candid moments as they happened. Joanna and Rhiannon feel like our friends! Could not recommend them more!” Samantha’s sentiments truly resonated with us. We approach every wedding as if we’re shooting it for our own friends and family. Capturing genuine moments and allowing the couple to fully embrace the joy of their celebration is always our top priority.
We were particularly drawn to Sam and Mason’s preference for more photojournalistic and natural images (Joanna actually started her photography career with a Florida newspaper). On the day we focused on the spontaneous interactions, the shared laughter, and the quiet moments of connection between Samantha, Mason, and their loved ones.
Sam and Mason documenting your Inn at Manchester wedding was an absolute honor! Your love for each other and your genuine appreciation for the friends and family surrounding you last September shone through in every moment. We wish you a lifetime of happiness together, and please let us know the next time you come up for a visit!!!
