Samantha & Mason’s Autumn Inn at Manchester Wedding

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Sixpence was our wedding photographer in Vermont, and we were so happy with the entire experience. Joanna understood and executed on our asks (focus on enjoying the day, low amount of posed photos) and also brought such a lovely and calming energy! I have a vivid memory of feeling a bit rushed before putting on my dress and she assured us all calmly “we have plenty of time.” Her daughter got so many amazing candids and background photos to capture the day as well. Some of our favorite photos were unplanned shots they just saws and took advantage of the moment on. They feel like our friends! Could not recommend them more!”
Samantha & Mason
We had the genuine pleasure of photographing Samantha and Mason’s wedding at the Inn at Manchester in Vermont.
As you can see from the photos below, it was a day filled with joy, love, and a boatload of laughter. Samantha’s smile is truly contagious—she had a huge grin on her face in almost every single frame!
A Joyful and Intimate Affair
From the moment we arrived, we were drawn to the elegant and intimate atmosphere. Samantha and Mason are avid cooks and explorers who are passionate about their dog, Winnie. Their wedding day perfectly reflected their personalities: warm, personal, and brimming with love for their family and friends.
Nancy Murray of A SchoolHouse Garden brought their vision to life with stunning floral arrangements. The palette featured forest greens, crisp whites, and warm terracotta accents.
Heartful Moments & Personalized Vows
The ceremony was officiated by Samantha’s dear friend, Becca Ebert. Before walking down the aisle, the couple privately exchanged letters after their first look. This quiet moment set a beautiful, intimate tone for their vows.
Mason also honored his grandfather by wearing his cufflinks, while Winnie, their sweet fur baby, stole the show as a very well-behaved “flower girl.”
Inn at Manchester Wedding Reception: Celebrating with Music, Food, and Friends
The reception was a high-energy celebration. Clockwork East Coast kept the dance floor packed all night long.
For food, guests indulged in one of our personal favorites: Woodbelly Pizza. To top it off, they served a decadent cake from Charlie’s Coffee House.
Our Approach: Photojournalistic Wedding Photography
We were particularly drawn to Samantha and Mason’s preference for natural, photojournalistic images. Since Joanna started her career with a Florida newspaper, this “candid-first” style is our specialty.
Throughout the day, we focused on spontaneous interactions, shared laughter, and those quiet moments of connection that define a wedding day.
Why we love Inn at Manchester Weddings:
- The Setting: A perfect blend of historic Vermont charm and modern elegance.
- The Atmosphere: Ideal for couples wanting an intimate, “home-away-from-home” feel.
- The Photography: The grounds offer incredible natural light and diverse backdrops for candid portraits.
