HANNAH + RICHIE’S SUNFLOWER WEDDING IN RUTLAND VERMONT

As far as Vermont wedding venues go, this one was a stunner.

Hannah loves sunflowers. And in one of the most romantic grand gestures we’ve ever witnessed, Richie and his family planted acres and acres and acres of them on their farm in Rutland, Vermont just so Hannah and Richie would be surrounded by them in full bloom on their wedding day. They even staggered the planting just in case we had an early autumn.

Sunflower Wedding

Sunflowers are a symbol of adoration and loyalty, so they made a lovely addition to Hannah + Richie’s wedding day.  Known for their bright and cheerful appearance, so they also added a touch of whimsy and joy to their photos.

Before we get too much further, we HAVE to share their wedding film. Grab the tissues. It’s a good one!

Richie proposed to Hannah on a motorcycle ride through the Appalachian Gap, so we had to make sure there was a shot with his ride.

Thinking about a Vermont Wedding with sunflowers? Here are a few tips.

Taking photos on a sunflower farm can be a beautiful and unique setting for wedding photos or any other type of photoshoot. Sunflowers are known for their bright and cheerful appearance, so they can add a touch of whimsy and joy to your photos. There are a few things to keep in mind when taking photos on a sunflower farm:

  • Timing is important. Try to visit the sunflower farm when the sunflowers are in full bloom, as this will provide the most beautiful backdrop for your photos.
  • Pay attention to the lighting. The best time to take photos on a sunflower farm is during the golden hours (the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset), when the lighting is soft and warm.
  • Watch out for bees. Sunflowers are a popular source of nectar for bees, so make sure to keep an eye out for them and stay a safe distance away.
  • Don’t be afraid to get creative. Sunflower farms can provide a beautiful and unique setting for photos, so feel free to experiment with different angles and perspectives to get the best shots.

I hope these tips are helpful, and I wish you the best of luck with your photoshoot!
