Sunsets, sailboats, and laughter filled the air for Emily and Adam’s whimsical wedding at the Silver Bay YMCA in upstate New York. This wasn’t your typical celebration; it was an intimate gathering of their closest loved ones, celebrating their love story under a sky dappled with soft clouds.

A Fairytale Setting and Heartfelt Emotion

The day began with Emily channeling some serious Caroline Kennedy vibes with her sleek and sophisticated look! Kudos to the Hopcroft Collective and Hillary Fay Studios. Adam’s reaction when he saw her during their first look was pure magic.

A Ceremony Filled with Friendship and Laughter

Mother Nature threw us curveball with a summer thunderstorm rolling in just before the ceremony. Luckily, the rain delay was short-lived, and things got back on track quickly. The ceremony itself was a beautiful display of friendship, officiated by Emily’s best friend, Ariana Brunori, and Adam’s best friend, Tyler Solley. It was a ceremony filled with heartfelt words and laughter. Clayton Floral brought the summer vibes alive with their stunning floral arrangements in shades of red, orange, and blue, perfectly complementing Emily’s unique By Far sandals and OWN Studio jewelry.

A Touching Detail and a Rainbow Surprise

But the ceremony wasn’t just about the vows. A special detail included the passing of the rings not just between Emily and Adam, but around the entire ceremony circle, symbolizing the inclusion of their loved ones in their union. Tears welled up in guests eyes as the rings traveled from person to person, a testament to the strong community these two have built.

And the rainstorm added some extra magic during the cocktail hour, gracing everyone with a stunning rainbow despite the lingering cloud cover.

A Romantic Boat Ride and Energetic Reception

As the cocktail hour went on, Emily and Adam took a moment for themselves. As the sun began to set, Emily took the wheel of the family boat, whisking Adam away for a private moment on the water – a fun nod to their love for adventure, and for each other.

For the reception, guests were treated to delicious bites from 2Shea Catering, and the energetic beats of Premier Entertainment & Events’ DJ Talena Companion. We captured some unforgettable napkin-swinging reception entrance photos, reminiscent of the New Orleans weddings we used to shoot down south! And thanks to Talena’s skills, the dance floor was packed all night!
