A Peak Foliage Autumn Equinox Resort Wedding in Manchester, Vermont
As a mother-daughter photography team, we’ve learned that while we can plan almost every logistical detail, we can’t schedule the trees. But for Jenna and Clint’s October wedding, Mother Nature absolutely showed off. The mountains surrounding Manchester were at absolute peak, draped in vibrant crimsons and golds that felt like a living painting behind the Equinox Resort.
For Jenna and Clint, both golf professionals, the setting was a perfect “18th hole” finish to their journey. After a proposal that took them through red rock canyons in Utah, they brought their love back home to the Green Mountains—a place Jenna fell in love with while she was growing up and visiting her grandparents who lived in Stratton.

Embracing Nature: The Autumn Equinox Resort Wedding Experience
The vision was “wildflower garden,” and it couldn’t have been more fitting. Jenna chose a palette of burnt orange, marigold, and forest green that mirrored the hillsides. Even her bouquet carried a piece of Vermont history, with juniper berries tucked in as a tribute to her grandparents’ home.
The ceremony at the Pond Pavilion was the definition of intimate. With Jenna’s brother, Garrett, officiating and their two dogs—Riley and Duncan—serving as “bridesmaid” and “groomsman,” the atmosphere was relaxed and deeply personal. There is something so special about a wedding where the guest list is small, but the history is huge.
A Legacy in Every Frame: Honoring Grandmother Joyce
In our work, we often talk about the “why” behind what we do. This wedding was a powerful reminder. Clint’s grandmother, Joyce, was able to be there to witness the vows and celebrate with the family. Hearing her voice through a surprise recording during the ceremony was a moment that stopped time.
Knowing now that Joyce passed away just a few weeks after this beautiful day, these photos have taken on a new life. They aren’t just wedding portraits anymore; they are the last documented chapters of a family legacy. Capturing her smile against the backdrop of that peak Vermont autumn is something we will never forget.
The Reception & The Details
From the timeless portraits on the Equinox’s grand staircase to the reception filled with apple cider donuts and heartfelt toasts, every moment felt intentional. The day wrapped with a choreographed first dance and a room full of the people who matter most.
