Alright, let’s talk about J + K’s wedding at Basin Harbor Resort last September. You know, that sweet spot in Vermont when the air is crisp and the leaves are just starting to show off? Yep, that was the vibe – absolutely perfect. Getting to hang out and capture their day at this incredible spot on Lake Champlain was pretty special for us.

The whole day was smooth sailing (pun intended). We have to give a huge shout-out to Kim from Events by Sorrell. We also want to acknowledge Anne and her team from Basin Harbor. Both ladies worked some magic behind the scenes to make sure everything flowed effortlessly. And the flowers? Petals Vermont totally nailed it with their arrangements. They added that perfect touch of beauty everywhere you looked. Meanwhile, 802 Events kept the dance floor packed all night.

But the icing on the cake, the part that still makes us smile, was hopping on an antique Chris Craft Sea Skiff with J + K in the late afternoon. Cruising out onto Lake Champlain as the sun started to dip? Pure magic. The light was insane, the water was calm, and just capturing those quiet, happy moments with them out on the water was everything. It was a chance to breathe, take in the incredible views, and just celebrate them. Those are the kinds of moments we live for, and being a Florida native who loves the water, I might have been yelling “I’m on a boat!!” over the engine noise I was so excited to be out on the lake…
