Last June, we were lucky enough to spend a gorgeous day photographing and filming JP and Alexa’s wedding at the seriously stylish Kimpton Taconic Hotel in Manchester, Vermont. Honestly, this Taconic Hotel Summer wedding was a total joy to be a part of!

From the get-go, the vibe was fun. Candice from Candice Grace Events was a superstar keeping everything running smoothly, and the flowers by M’s Wedding Flowers? Absolutely stunning – think dreamy whites, soft pinks, and tons of gorgeous greenery. DJ Matt from Supersounds Entertainment definitely brought the party later on!
Alexa looked breathtaking in her Made With Love gown from Everthine Bridal Boutique, and JP was looking sharp in his BlackTux suit. But honestly, as much as we appreciate all the pretty details, our favorite part of the day is always the people and the real, unscripted moments. And JP and Alexa? They were pure magic! Their story, starting as high school buddies and then connecting over a first date involving pasta (how much do we love that???), is just so sweet. And hearing about JP proposing under that twinkly Christmas tree in Manchester? Seriously, all the feels!
What truly stood out was how much this day meant to them, especially sharing it with their families and friends who traveled from all over to celebrate in their beloved Vermont. You could just feel the love and happiness radiating from everyone. For us, as photographers and videographers, those natural, in-between moments are gold. The tear in JP’s eye as Alexa and her Dad came down the aisle, the bursts of laughter during the toasts, the way Alexa and JP looked at each other on the dance floor – those are the memories that last a lifetime, and we absolutely loved capturing every single one.
Honestly, JP and Alexa were a dream to work with. They were so present in the moment and genuinely enjoyed every second of their day, which made our job of capturing those authentic emotions so easy (and so much fun!). Their incredible review – “Nothing but amazing things to say about Sixpence. Had the day captured perfectly to a T and we’ve gained life long friends from our experience! Please look nowhere else other than Sixpence!” – still makes us smile.
This Taconic Hotel Summer Wedding was a perfect example of why we love what we do. Connecting with amazing couples like JP and Alexa, and capturing their unique love story in a place which means so much to them, is what it’s all about. Congratulations again, you two! It was an honor to be there!!!
