Winter Engagement Session at Shelburne Farms

Braving the Vermont Winter Wonderland: Shelburne Farms with Katelin & Brett

I have to ask the question. Can you really call yourself a Vermont wedding photographer if you haven’t shot an engagement session in 15°F with the wind coming in strong off of Lake Champlain? I don’t feel like I’d really earned my New England photographer street cred until last week when I met Katelin and Brett for their engagement session at the beautiful Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Vermont. A Florida native, I kept asking these sweet Vermonters “are you sure you don’t need your coat (gloves, hats, etc…)???” Each time, they were like “No! We’re good!” Meanwhile, I had to defrost my gloved fingers in the car a few times. Chilled fingers aside, I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat to deliver these images to our sweet couple!
